Cockatiels are parrots, and where found in
Australia in 1770.
Description
Adult cockatiels grow to 30cm long from
head to tail, cockatiels can be several types of colors, they have wings and
two feet, they can weigh about 80-102 grams, and females are the same in the
length but weigh a little less than males.
Habitat
The cockatiel was first found in Australia,
they like to roam around the wetland and like to be free, and they like to
travel in small flocks and sometimes in pairs. The cockatiels are adopted and
cheap in cages.
Behavior
Cockatiels hiss when they are frightened or
feel threatened, that will mean you need to leave it alone till it calms down
or it will give you a nasty bite. If a bird’s cage mate dies they might scream,
or it will scream when there is danger nearby. If a cockatiel feels threatened
it will move to a corner and you will need to leave it for a little bit. If
your bird hangs up side down it just mean that your bird is playful and enjoys
life.
People like having cockatiels as pets
because they are fun and intelligent.
